Wow! What a cantata!
I give thanks for our music program and all the dedicated singers and musicians who prepare each and every week to bless us during worship! They begin work on the cantata months before it actually takes place, and the joy the choir brings us on Cantata Sunday is hard to overstate. In fact, this year’s performance was the best one I’ve ever heard from any church.
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! We surely are blessed to have Mary Beth, Martha Frances, and our choir!
Our next opportunity to worship together is this Sunday at 10:30 a.m. This ONE Service will be in the CLC and feature Christmas music in a contemporary style. This will be a fabulous time of worship that you won’t want to miss. And that evening we will have our normal Christmas Eve evening schedule—worship at 4 and 6 p.m.
Let me say a word about our Christmas Eve evening services. I have changed the format just a bit, moving us to a traditional Christmas Eve celebration. Our worship will be centered on the English tradition known as Lessons and Carols as we allow the story to be told through scripture and hymns. We will conclude our service with communion and candlelight. I know that you will be blessed as we celebrate the birth of our Savior as a community of faith.
Christmastime is special. Enjoy your family. Enjoy the smiles and laughter of children. Enjoy and delight in the Lord’s presence in your life.
I’ll see you on Christmas Eve!
