Dear Church Family,
We continue to have great days of worship and ministry together during this Easter season. Special thanks go to Rachel Rainey and Lilly Shannon for singing at the 8:45am service and to our 1st-6th grade Children’s Choir and their adult leaders for singing at our 11:00am service this past Sunday.
I want to thank our Embrace Praise Team for all the extra work and time they gave to play for the Lawn and Garden Show last Saturday. They did an amazing job! One of the leaders for the event was being interviewed by WTVA just as the Embrace Praise Team concluded playing and she bragged about how great the music was for the event! You can watch some of their performance on our Facebook page.
I do want to remind our church that we will not have UMYF or the Pastor’s Bible Study on Wednesday, April 20. Many of us will be attending the FCA Rally & Fundraiser for Anna Claire Stokes at the NAHS Auditorium. You all have been so faithful to pray for Anna Claire’s recovery and please take this opportunity to bless her as her medical costs continue to mount. You may leave a financial gift with our church office staff and they will make sure that it gets to the FCA Rally.
I hope that you have been blessed by our current sermon series in our traditional services. You can always catch up on a past service or sermon by visiting our church’s Web site (www.fumcnewalbay.com).
I want to update our church family about our church’s social media. Since the address for our church’s Web page is fumcnewalbany.com, we have added “fumcnewalbany” to all of our Facebook, Instagram and Twitter titles. You can now search “fumcnewalbany” on any of those social media sites to find our church. Also, in the near future we will be creating a Facebook page so that we can reach people in our community. We will still have our Facebook group but it will be used mostly for announcements. We understand if you would have concerns about posting pictures of your youth or children at events so please email or call our office about that and we will exclude them.
Stay forever in the Light; never lose sight of the Way. See you Sunday!
