This weekend we will be honoring our graduating seniors with a Baccalaureate Brunch and Service. When we think of rites of passage, we often think of getting our driver’s license, registering to vote, and graduating from high school.
A Baccalaureate Service is a rite of passage, too. While it is necessarily linked to a young person’s graduation from high school, this service is a way for the congregation to bless its graduating seniors as they are sent out into the world to do great things.
Here are the graduates we will be honoring this Sunday:

So be in prayer for our graduates. They have lots of choices and new experiences ahead of them! This is an exciting time of life!
And make sure you come and support our seniors this Sunday. The Baccalaureate Service will be at 11 a.m., but we will be praying for our graduates at all three services. Above all, let’s make sure we tell them how much we love them and how proud of them we are.
I’ll see you Sunday!
