Well, the big day is almost here. We continue our Advent journey this Sunday with ONE Service at 10:30 a.m. We will be blessed by our choir’s annual Christmas Cantata, but remember that we will also have our Connection at 9:00 a.m. and Sunday School at 9:30 a.m. Come with expectant hearts because I know that you will be blessed!
The blessings will continue Christmas Eve as we gather for worship at 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. Receiving Holy Communion as we commemorate the night of Christ’s birth is always very meaningful to me, and I look forward to sharing this moment with you—my church family—for the first time. Be sure to invite your friends and family to come with you!
And allow me to say a word about Christmas Day…
No doubt you have noticed that it falls on a Sunday this year. Yes, we will be open for worship with another ONE Service at 10:30 a.m. And yes, I was serious about the children coming in their pajamas and bringing a toy. Maybe this will be a reminder to us that we are celebrating the birth of a child.
What joy to be together as a church family on our Lord’s birthday! I know very well that the temptation will be to stay home for family time. As important as family time may be, I am confident that you will be incredibly blessed by making a commitment to worship with your community of faith on Sunday, December 25.
I can’t wait to see you there.
