You no doubt have been in prayer for those impacted by the Texas church shooting. Keep praying. It’s powerful.
I never thought I would see the day when I planned a church meeting to address security, but it would be irresponsible of me not to do so in the wake of recent events in our country. After this Sunday’s ONE Service at 10:30 a.m. to celebrate our new Education Building, we will have a brief meeting at the front of the sanctuary for any adult desiring to be part of our new security ministry. This should be a brief meeting, and then we will make our way to the CLC and join the youth Thanksgiving Feast.
On that note, please make plans to come both to our ONE Service this Sunday as well as stay and support our youth ministry. I know that you will be blessed by the worship, food, and fellowship!
I can’t thank you enough for your faithfulness regarding our Fall stewardship campaign. We have the chance to actually pledge our entire 2018 operating budget. I’ve never before heard of this happening at a church, so this is a very exciting possibility! If you haven’t returned your 2018 commitment, I encourage you to prayerfully do so.
Friends, God is so very good, and he’s really blessing our community of faith. Know that as we look forward to our big celebration this Sunday, I’m so very proud to be your pastor.
